eh. It would be nice if Mattel could do something besides the same princesses they’ve been popping out the last 3 or 4 years. Be nice to see some new furniture & accessories in the pink label section too…
From the point of marketability I can understand what Mattel tries to do. When I was young we played with dolls unto well into our teens, nowadays girls start younger and stop younger as well. So targeting little princess-wannabes might work for the books. Just not for most of us adult customisers (or even playline collectors).
There has been some nice probably Rement-inspired stuff in the last years’ furniture lines, but all in all I find the furniture too frilly to be of much use. I’d like to see something more sleek, modern designs or perhaps, in relation to the birthday, some retro-inspired stuff – that’d be awesome.
I’m sure you already know of the Welcome Home furniture line by Maryann Roy. Something along that line… wow.
